Access control · optional add-on

The door opens with a QR code and every entry is logged.

Access control is the Twilbox add-on for validating entry: each access point is a tablet that reads your customer's QR code, checks it in your system, opens the door if everything is in order and logs the attempt, allowed or not. You see it all live from the console.

Door opened by Shelly

No manual setup

Lía walks you through getting your first access point ready.

Tell her which door you want to control and what system you use, and your assistant explains each step: creating the access point, connecting your platform and setting up the door opening.

  • Creates the access point with its location
  • Connects WodBuster or your system via API
  • Sets up door opening with Shelly or a relay
LíaYour AI assistant in Twilbox
I have a CrossFit box with WodBuster and want members to get in with a QR code.
Perfect. Does the door open today with a Shelly or another relay?
With a Shelly.

All set. Here's what I've prepared:

  • “Main entrance” access point
  • Connection to your WodBuster
  • Door opening via Shelly
  • Code to pair the tablet
1 tablet
is all each access point needs
Live
every entry attempt, allowed or denied, in your console
Offline
entries are saved and sent once the connection is back

Figures for the add-on as it works today in the Twilbox console.

What's included

Everything you need for entry without queues.

For businesses that open the door by hand today, check a list or have no idea who comes in and when.

QR reader on a tablet

Install the validator app on a tablet or kiosk, pair the access point with a one-time code and you're done. It reads the QR with the rear or front camera.

Opens the door

If the code is valid, the door opens through an HTTP relay or a Shelly device. You can also open it remotely from the console and see its status.

A log of every attempt

Every scan is saved as allowed, denied, not found or error, with the time and the access point.

Keeps working offline

If the internet goes down, the access point stores entries and sends them as soon as the connection is back.

Connected to your system

The code is checked in the platform you already use for your members: WodBuster works out of the box and any other system connects via API.

Multiple access points and locations

Create access points from the console, each with its name and location, and see them all in the same activity panel.

How it works

From QR code to open door in a second.

1

Your customer shows their QR code

The code your membership or booking system already gives them, on their phone or printed.

2

Twilbox checks it

The access point looks up the code in your platform and shows “allowed” or “denied” on screen.

3

The door opens and it's logged

If it's valid, the door opens. Allowed or not, the attempt shows up instantly in your activity panel.

Connections

It works with what you already have at your door.

You don't change your membership system: Twilbox sits in front of it and validates against it.

WodBusterReady-made connection: the access point validates your WodBuster members' codes.
Your system, via APIIf you use another membership or booking platform, it connects through an HTTP API.
ShellyOpen the door with a Shelly device connected to your account.
HTTP relayFor locks and turnstiles that open with an HTTP command.
Twilbox consoleCreate access points, watch activity live and open doors remotely.
Validator appThe app that turns the tablet into an access point, paired with a one-time code.

Before and after

From opening the door by hand to entry that validates itself.

Without Twilbox: Someone has to be at reception to open the door.
With Twilbox: The customer shows their QR code and the door opens if the code is valid.
Without Twilbox: You don't know who came in yesterday or at what time.
With Twilbox: Every attempt is logged with the time and the access point.
Without Twilbox: A member who has canceled keeps coming in because nobody checks.
With Twilbox: The code is validated in your system on every entry.
Without Twilbox: If the internet goes down, so does your access control.
With Twilbox: The access point stores entries and sends them once the connection is back.
Without Twilbox: Each location has its own device and you can't see the big picture.
With Twilbox: All your access points, in the same live panel.

FAQ

What people usually ask.

It's an optional add-on that turns a tablet into an access point: it reads the person's QR code, checks it in your membership or booking platform, opens the door if it's valid and logs every attempt. From the console you see the activity live and manage all your access points.
